Welcome Back Homeowners!

Here’s an update on your community revitalization project

Here’s an update on your community revitalization project:

As the weather cools, and homeowners return to our desert paradise, we are pleased to present an update on the journey of your community revitalization.  The transition to "lush and efficient" landscaping is progressing and well on course to achieve all of the goals of the Water Use Reduction Landscape Project as set forth last year. In partnering with RGA Landscape Architects, the Indian Ridge HOA was able to make a major transition to drought-resistant landscaping along all of our streets, front entry, medians and other common areas. The design and plan included a major upgrade of the majority of the irrigation, installation of a new irrigation management system, turf removal and the incorporation of lush and efficient landscaping – utilizing entry grasses like Mexican Feather Grass and Regal Mist Muhlenbergia for fullness and color. While many of you were away, the project was started in the last days of May, and as of today, we have completed all front of home landscaping, as well as the Front Entry and the HOA medians will be finished by next week, giving our community a cohesive, drought resistant, and beautiful vista for many years to come.

Here are some statistics:

  • 467 fronts of homes complete
  • 21 pools complete
  • Front Entry is complete
  • Medians completed
  • Landscaping along the inside of our perimeter walls and  pathways to be completed by mid-December

Although most areas are complete and the large construction equipment is off the streets and the rock piles are gone

-  WE ARE NOT DONE -

With a project of this size impacting over 2 million sq ft, many miles of irrigation pipes and wires, thousands of valves and heads,  a completely new Irrigation control system, and thousands of new plants – there is still work to do.  Conserve Construction will still be working with small crews on many small final items for 30-60 days. The following are photos of the front entry, the medians now under construction, fronts of homes and streetscapes.  With “Lush & Efficient”, a major change will be in the colors of our landscaping as everything matures.  These photos are showing the colors that are now starting to come alive on the young plants.  We have included a few “before & after” pictures to display the color changes.

Front Entry - The front entry plants have only been in the ground a short period of time but have already began their growth.  As they mature over the next few months, the grasses, plants, and color will become more of the focal point of the view.

Medians - This first median has just been planted but it is easy to visualize the change to lush and efficient landscaping with a lot of color as it matures.

Front of Homes - We have included a number of photo angles for the front of homes illustrating the “street scape” view of the installation of lush and efficient landscaping.
